Luke Laughing

Here we are at the park, picnicking with Jesse and Sarah Owen and the Petersons. Luke sure thought this fork was the best thing on earth. He liked it even more with the sound effects. He did this for about 10 minutes. Check it out! This is especially for all you that are too far way to enjoy this little boy daily.

Note: This was taken by a cell phone so it may not be the best quality.

hair today, gone tomorrow

Who's that baby? My baby was born with a full head of dark hair. Where did he go? This week all of Luke's baby hair was falling out ( I know kinda gross) and he has gone lighter. He is now starting to look more like he fits in around here.

Note: sorry for the nude bath picture, But it was the best to show of how much hair he has lost.

First day of school

Abby started school today. She was so excited and didn't even look back when she went into the room.

This is what you get when you ask for a silly face so that the next picture you hopefully won't get a silly face.

Abby in her new classroom. What a big girl! We are so proud of you Abby-girl.

our poor baby...

After a few grueling weeks of trying this and that we took Luke into the doctor. Turns out that he had undetectable;e blood in his stool. It turns out that he is having a milk protein allergy. Yikes! No wonder he was such a different baby. I am not strong enough to cut out all dairy from my diet so we are now a full fed bottle baby. It is kind of nice but I am having a hard time figuring out how much to feed Luke at one time. It has been very different each time. We will get it all figured out soon enough I hope.

Happy 5th Birthday!

Happy Birthday Abby. I can not even believe that my little girl has hit the big 5. She had a very big and fun birthday party with some of her friends. She would have liked the whole world to come but I had to put my foot down somewhere. She loved being queen for the day. She got to pick what she wanted to do all day. (She realized after dinner when she was having her ice cream that she could have had it for breakfast.)

Too Cute!

Luke is getting so big and can hold his head up really well now.

Trip out with Daddy

Joel took the kids to the park on Saturday and they came home looking like this. They had a great time.

Utah trip

We were able to make a trip up to Utah to see my cousin Kendall get married! We are so happy for him. We loved visiting with the friends we did get to see and our family.
We started the day off with a trip up to Sundance to ride the chairlift. The kids all had a great time! Thanks Mockie! (Grandma, if you click the picture it will make it big so that you can see all of the faces. )
A family picture at the temple. (There are the bride and groom behind us. Yeah, so we did get a picture with you!)

Although she is young... she is single! ( I think if Brooke and Kate were there she might not have felt so out of place)

Cousin Jordan gave Abby her flowers. She was so happy. I think she thought she was the bride!

Worth a blog...

Joel got home today from a 2 night trip. He could not have had better timing. Luke was up every few hours each night and JJ was also up a few times each night. Of coarse not at the same time as Luke ( and blessing and a curse). Needless to say I was all tuckered out. While we were making dinner and holding a baby that was not going to let us dare put him down I hear a loud crash from the kids room. I dart in that direction to meet JJ and Abby in the hall with JJ in tears and Abby panicked. JJ had fallen off the bunk bed ladder and hit his head. I went to put ice on it and it was then I saw the blood. It looked like a lot and I thought oh no... here we go off to get more stitches. At the moment it seemed much worse then it really turned out to be. There was only a tiny bit of bleeding.
Now... While the kids were in the bath I look up to find this gross thing on my curtain. YIKES! I have to say this was our first encounter with one of these in Las Vegas and my first encounter EVER! I called for my brave husband ( who I was so glad to have home when I noticed this intruder) and he went to the garage and got his tool (not quite sure what tool this is) and caught it and flushed it. That is the end of that story... however, I must say I feel like they are EVERYWHERE now. Man., I hate that.
Where I found him
The tool!

The Flush!
